Mississippi Toyota Plant Pushed Back To 2010

This is a recent photo of the new Toyota Plant in Blue Springs Mississippi. Rumors are that the plant opening has been pushed back to 2010 because top executives see a slow down in US Auto Sales.

Car Sales in the US have changed in dynamics due to rising gas prices. Many factories are switching line workers from truck assembly plants to car assembly to meet increased demand in fuel effecient vehicles.

The only way to lower fuel prices is to lower our consumption of oil. Many are urging drivers to car pool when possible, make one trip to post office-grocery store-etc., trade that gas guzzler if possible.

Many are trying to trade their deisel's, big trucks, SUV's, and gas guzzling vehicles. But, are finding that nobody wants these vehicles right now and that has driven the price very low. The demand is down and so are the trade in values. You may find you owe way more than a dealer is willing to give you for the vehicle. In this case you have to figure is it worth trading or are you spending more digging out than you would spend on gas.

Another option that many smart consumers are making is buying a cheap run around car that gets good gas mileage and parking that truck or SUV. Gas will go down at some point hopefully. Drive your gas saver for work and running around. Drive your SUV only when you have to.
